37 Weeks

That is right, baby Addison is now considered Full Term!!! :)

Last Weekend Adam and I attended a pediatric safety and cpr class.
It was a 2 hour class and we did learn a lot of good things, and some helpful tips. It went over everything from carseat safety, to cabinets and choking.

I was nervous about the cpr class. I remember learning it several years ago, and there was just soooo much to remember. I guess they have changed the way it is done since then, and now it is the same set of compressions and breathe for all ages cpr. Easy to remember, and i'm really glad we learned it!

This afternoon I have my next check up!! Hoping to hear maybe I have progressed a little!!

Since Monday, I have been having some tightness that comes and goes in my tummy. It is hard for me to tell if it is braxton hicks, or if it is just little miss stretching and pushing herself out.

Funny thing:  I googled that I couldn't tell if it was braxton hicks, or baby... and apparently, I am not alone!
The search brought up tons of forums of pregnnat mommies who wondered the same thing.

I am inclined to think, however; that it is indeed some contractions. :)

My belly gets so tight that I am not able to bend over to even reach mid calves, when Addison would stetch out I was still always able to bend.
They are also happening much more frequently than is typical for her, especially at night.
Finally, when it was her, I could always push on the tight area and she would usually move away or push back, but now when I push, my belly just stays tight all over...

Here is a little recap of our countdowns to everything
From today we have:

8 days until we start moving
13 days until my last final for the semester
21 days until my due date

36 Week Check up

Yesterday I turned 36 weeks!!

I had my check up with my doctor (who I am seeing every week now) and we are checking each week to see if and how much I am progressing!! YAY!!

I was so excited to be checked, I wanted her to say I was something, anything, already. So far though, I am nothing... not dialted or softened or any of the things you can be!!

However, doctor said that doesn't mean much. She said I can be nothing and go into labor tonight, or I can be dialted a 2 or 3 and still be overdue...

I think I might start doing some exercises to help things along, so next week maybe I can be a little progressed??
I read of taking stairs two at a time, or sitting on an exercise ball, and walking....

Not because I want her to come early, but because I have a feeling she is planning on being late, so I think she might need be to start encouraging her now! Plus I just want to be able to say I am dialted haha!

In other news:

I went to talk to a counselor on campus yesterday, Fall will be my last semester so I had to get an approval to take a class that has to be taken right before you graduate.

I went into the counselors office thinking I needed 4 classes: that last class that needed approval, plus 2 general electives, and a govt from san jac to take.

I left the counselors office only needing 3 classes. She said I didnt need the govt, so all I need is my last mgmt class and 2 electives. I'd say that was a successful meeting :)!!

So much to do.

I woke up this morning before my alarm clock and couldn't fall back asleep because suddenly my brain decided to start thinking about ALLLLL the things I need to do...
I tried to turn my brain off, but it was stuck on repeat!!!

Once I got up this morning I tried to think of everything I need to get done and write it down that way my brain wont feel the need to wake me up in the mornings with reminders.

OMG I have so much to do, so little time!!

We are moving in 17 days, and all I have done to get ready for that so far is pack 1 box! :/
I still need to finish packing, make all the arrangements for switching cable, electricity, insurance, and my address on all my other accounts. Then once that is all finished we still have to actually move!!

In the mean time it is the end of the semester and I have finals coming up!! I have all my assignments to finish (or start in some cases) plus lots of studying to do to get ready for my exams. I also need to register for a summer class, and for next fall (which will be my last semester before I graduate :) YAY!!!!)

At work we have been interviewing a couple of people to find a temporary replacement for me while I am on maternity leave. I think by the end of this week they will be picking someone. I have a lot to do to get ready for that. I wanted to make a binder with step by step instructions of everything she will need to do, plus list all phones numbers and other important need to know things!!

And lets not forget the biggest thing of all!! Today is April 11th, my due date is in 1 MONTH!!! I have so much to do to get ready for baby girl. Right now everything is still in boxes, actually it's all still in boxes inside of gift bags. I have a lot of washing to do to get all her clothes and blankets ready for her. I want to have her nursery set up and ready before she gets here as well, if I can. My due date is just about a week and a half after we move, so its going to take a lot of work. Adam will be doing a lot of assembiling in the next few weeks. Luckily I also have some wonderful friends who have offered to help get the new apartment ready to go.

With all this going on I really hope Addison isn't coming up with her own scheme of coming early!! I have a doctor's appointment Wednesday, and I will be 36 weeks. Some other pregnant ladies I know, who are due around the same time as me, are already saying that their doctor has told them they are already dialating or not yet dialating.... My doctor hasn't even checked me yet :( I hope she starts checking on this next visit coming up. I just want to know!!!!

I did feel more energetic this weekend than I have in the last couple of weeks. Although I don't think it was the burst of energy you get before you go into labor like some women describe. I think it may just be that I am finally really getting over being sick??? I did get up and do laundry and clean and even walked an extra mile at the track. WAYYY more than I usually have the energry to do. I have to give Adam lots of props.. the past couple weeks (and also during my first trimester), I have just been so drained that I honestly don't think I have lifted a finger at home. He has taken care of all the laundry, dishes, cooking and other chores on his own. Plus this weekend he washed and cleaned both our cars, as well as changed our oil, windshield wipers, rotated the tires, and assembled our travel system and installed the car seat in my car!!!
I love the car seat, and I love having it sitting in my backseat just ready and waiting for Addison :) ..

Since I have this giant to do list, I think its time I close this blog entry and get to work!!
